A little bit about DB Goldline and the team.
Derek is a Peabody award-winning producer, director and director of photography, whose work spans over 25 years in network television, live television sports, feature film, documentary, commercial and advertising production. Derek has enjoyed co-production and distribution relationships with FOX, CBS, NBC, TBS, HBO, PBS, Viacom and Discovery Communications.
Through a working relationship with legendary television syndicater Roger King (King World) and his team at CBS/Paramount, Derek developed his own model for creatively bundling great television and film content with advertisers, producers, A-list talent, content distributors and extraordinary subject matter. His approach to packaging and pitching projects led to original brand-integrated programming deals and productions with Fox, E!, HBO, Discovery Communications, Viacom, PBS and Sony Pictures Television.
Derek has worked as a Director and Producer for such advertising and fashion clients as J. Walter Thompson, Conde Nast and Paul Mitchell, and in unison with some of the world’s leading brands and photographers. He maintains a strong relationship with the advertising and branding world, heading up the DBG Creative & Branding Division and focusing on brand integration. Derek heads up the DBG Scripted Division.
In addition to currently being PROJECT DAD’s Executive Producer on TLC, and Hidden Heroes Executive Producer on CBS, Ricky has created, executive produced, and sold shows to CBS, ABC, MTV, HGTV, TLC, Discovery Family, Discovery Life, ESPN, Viacom, The Style Network, Lifetime, and The Design Network. In 2015, Ricky was Executive Producer and Director on Parents’ Choice Award Winner Chicken Soup for the Soul’s Hidden Heroes which just completed its second season in 2017. Also Ricky's production team was awarded two Emmys and a Peabody for A Chef's Life. Ricky was awarded another Emmy nomination for producing the digital series Beacon Hill.
An accomplished Broadway and Television actor with a career that has spanned over 30 years, Ricky has received five additional Emmy nominations and picked up four Clio Awards. He successfully crossed all three Networks – ABC, CBS and NBC – in daytime television, where he created legacy characters that audiences fell in love with.
In live theater, Ricky has done it all, from staring on Broadway in On Golden Pond, The Pirates of Penzance and Grease. Ricky was Danny Zuko in the Broadway revival of Grease alongside Brooke Shields and Rosie O’Donnell. His run in this iconic role totaled over 726 performances.
Executive Producer - Scripted
Tracy leads DB Goldline’s scripted development and DBG’s LA office. As a creative producer, project manager and consultant. She has worked with studios, agencies, production companies, brands, non-profits and talent to help develop and produce projects for film, television and digital in both the scripted and non-scripted genre. A few major companies to list: Warner Brothers, Paramount, Sony, 20th Century Fox, Verizon/Hearst, MTV, Refinery29, Google, YouTube Red, and Metropolitan Museum of Art. One of her notable works as a producer is for the fashion-forward documentary, The First Monday in May, and feature film Summer Forever.
EP Non-Scripted Development
Mikel Hubbard is a former showrunner who most recently ran development at Bischoff Hervey Entertainment in Los Angeles. He's developed series for networks such as Vh1, Discovery, Lifetime, MTV, Bravo, Sundance Channel and many more.
In addition to development, he still actively produces on series including 2017's Hollywood Love Story for Viceland and season 5 of Alaskan Bush People for Discovery Network which is currently airing. His love of unscripted combines his fascination for everyday people's outrageous stories and his showrunning experience finding fresh, repeatable formats that are reasonable to produce.
